this is definitely the most emotional, heart string pulling of songs i've written and without a doubt, my most favourite of all.
I wrote this song about 2 months after i moved from Newcastle to Melbourne in 2012, where everything single obstacle was tough. Not once did i regret such a challenging experience, regardless of the loved ones i left behind. Yeah, it was tough, physically draining and difficult to balance with no job, no house, no money to fall back on, but i survived.
I spent a day in St Kilda applying for jobs and doing the "tourist thing" where i wrote this song on the jetty. It's a pretty heartfelt song, but i don't regret any of it. This one hits home the most.
