this was one of the first songs i'd written about 18 months ago, where i was originally doing some demos with a good friend of mine, Michael Ferfoglia (The Delta Lions, The Dead Walk! & Every Word) back in Newcastle. It was only a skeleton with no harmonies or any idea how i wanted it to sound. And, a few months down the track, I played it live and whipped it up in the easiest way possible with the toughest vocal harmonies i could use.
It's a very meaningful song, basically about a tough time in my life where someone very close to me was always disappointed and no matter how hard i tried cheering them up, i was pushed away. Now, i don't get involved in situations like this anymore. It's too hard trying to say the best and make it mean the most.
